Detail

Pablo Picasso(1881-1973), one of the most important figures in modern art history, still has great impact on the 21st century art. The Picasso collection by Peter and Irene Ludwig with 880 works is the greatest private collection besides the ones of the artist's family and now open to the public at the Museum Ludwig Cologne. It covers every important stage of his career showing his diversity of creative technique such as paintings, drawings, sculptures, prints and ceramics. This exhibition tries to follow the artist's life and career with carefully selected 99 works from the collection. Moreover, we will offer a glimpse into his private life with the portraits taken by his friend photographer, Roberto Otero.
