Notice to Visitors

The Iwate Museum of Art will adhere to relevant guidelines and take necessary measures to prevent the spread of the infection with the COVID-19 coronavirus.
Thank you for your understanding and for following the precautions described below.
Changes of plan may occur in response to future circumstances. Please check the latest information on the website to stay informed of any changes.
Requests to visitors:
- Wear a mask or practice good etiquette when coughing.
- Wash and disinfect your hands thoroughly often.
- Thermography and thermometers will be used at the entrance to take visitors' temperature.
- Please refrain from visiting the museum if you have a fever above 37.5℃ or symptoms such as coughing, sneezing or sore throat.
- In the galleries, try to keep enough distance from other visitors. When crowded, admission to the exhibitions may be limited.
- Do not touch the works, showcases or walls.

Measures taken by the Museum to prevent the spread of the infection with the COVID-19:
- Alcohol-based hand sanitizers are placed at the entrance and the information desks.
- Staff members wear masks and conduct daily temperature checks to confirm they are in good health.
- All high touch surfaces including elevator buttons and door handles are regularly sterilized and cleaned.
- The galleries are appropriately ventilated.
- Water Coolers are not available.
