Location:
Temporary Exhibition Gallery

Detail

Here and Now is the Museum’s landmark exhibition by seven contemporary artists from Iwate, chosen by the Museum’s curators for their recent remarkable works. 2016 is an important year for the Museum as it celebrates the 15th anniversary of its opening and as it is also five years after the Great East Japan Earthquake, 2011. Taking it as a good opportunity to review the role of a museum and local art we will try to reveal in the exhibition the contemporary art of Iwate as it is now.
