BRUNO MUNARI: Quello delle Macchine Inutili

Sep. 8 - Nov. 4, 2018

Detail

Bruno Munari (1907‒1998) was an Italian artist and designer who had contributed to a variety of fields of art. After starting his artistic career as the Second Futurist, he worked closely with avant-garde art of his contemporaries. On the other hand he was active not only as an art director of advertisements and magazines but also author of picture books, product designer and educator of plastic arts in order to foster free imagination of children.
The exhibition introduces approximately 300 works of Munari as to unveil his whole career. Most of the works borrowed from Italy will be shown for the first time in Japan.
