The Iwate Museum of Art mainly collects Iwate's local artists' works. On the other hand prefectural facilities all over Iwate house various precious local works which are less accessible to public.
In this occasion, we select approximately 60 out of these immersed works and exhibit them together with the museum collection, trying to provide you better interest and understanding toward Iwate's local art and also to remind you of the importance of handing down this great treasure to future generation.
